#29 Mud treatment

I researched spas that have mud baths.  They are not very popular in the Midwest, I couldn't find any in Ohio.  I found one 8 hours away in PA. I couldn't rationalize spending all that time and money.  I settled for the next best thing. Kenneth's Day spa on Mill Run has a Baltic Black Mud Body Treatment: The formula for this detoxifying treatment centers on rare fresh water black silts. It improves skin texture, clarity and overall health by removing pore-blocking impurities and rough, flaky patches. Ideal for dry or oily skin.
I wanted to try a mud treatment for one reason. MANY, MANY years ago. I went with some friends to see Jimmy Buffett concert at Buckeye Lake-Legend Valley.  This time it was a total MONSOON!! If you know Legend Valley then you know that the parking lot is a field. People camp out all day as with most Buffett Concerts. Before the concert we were caked in mud up to our butts.  Had a rough time getting out of the field, poor Ken and Nat's car, I can't imagine what it looked like when we got home.  I remember leaving my shoes.  But I also remember my legs were the smoothest ever for a month.
I am not a person who spends much time on myself, with beauty treatments and such stuff. I'm coming around to this way of thinking.  LOL I like little splurges every once in a while, but it can add up quick.
For all this years, it has always been about my girls. I don't say that for pity or sympathy or whatever. That is what we do. Mothers, we give to our kids.  Some moms can figure a way to balance things better, I couldn't, so I focused on the girls.
I had the Baltic Black Mud Body treatment today.  I have to say it was pretty great. My skin is soft and smooth. I would definitely do it again.

Deadline approaching.....

I have less than a month. I haven't even done half of my list.  Maybe it was too ambitious.  No I am not throwing in the towel just yet, I am just giving myself an extension! I am definitely still going to keep trying, this month.  But there are several that just aren't going to happen. 
I am going to blow up celebrities on Twitter in hopes someone will be generous to meet me. 

Had a few set backs.
Have you heard of Dysfunctional Vocal Cords....ME EITHER.  Let me tell you, they are NOT a fun thing to have.  No cure, no medicines. Still trying to get a handle on that.  It's stress induced, GREAT! They need to come up with a pill for stress and not the made-up kind.

Be careful when you wish for a couple days off from ALL OF IT! It is cheaper to take a weekend getaway at a spa, instead of the hospital!

If you know a celebrity, or own a Maserati or Can-Am Sypder . Just want to take them for a spin! The Maserati and Sypder, NOT THE CELBRITY...

#49 --Grandmother's 90th Birthday Party

Today we celebrated the best Grandmother there is.  (PS I had the best Grandma also) My brothers and I put together a wonderful surprise party for her.  I was worried we wouldn't be able to pull it off.  There were so many people involved, I was afraid someone would spill the beans.  ONE of those someone's was ME! My baby brothers are always saying I can't keep my lip zipped.  That burns me!  Not that I can't keep it zipped it is just that I ummmm well just don't remember it's a secret! There is a difference. THERE IS SO!!

Over the years I would get mad if anyone called her my grandma.  IT'S GRANDMOTHER! I will apologize to my cousins on my dad's side now for something off topic.  Sorry I got bristly when you called Grandma, Grandma Mary.  To me, I don't know why, but that wasn't her name.

Back to the surprise party.  Oh the things we did, to pull this off.  I knew it would be worth it. My niece's birthday is this month.  We have birthday celebrations, Jan, Feb, March, April & May.  Each of the kids (mine and my nieces & nephew) All have birthdays in separate months.  So from November to June party party party. 

This month is my youngest nieces birthday, she will also be the reason we were getting together.  The plan was to tell my grandmother, the party for Chloe was today, but at the last minute there was a change of location, the excuse used was they had a sleepover, and left the house a wreck. The party had to be moved. Since we had party's at my dad's living room, aka THE IRISH HALL, before,  it wasn't that strange.

The next item to take care of was to get her there.  Now in my family we have THE EARLY BIRD(grandmother) and the LATE ARRIVALS(pretty much the rest of us).  We had to make it so my lovely sis(in law) would pick her up.  This STRETCH OF THE TRUTH, was to take a kid home that lived over near Grandmother.

The last FIB, was when they pulled into a FULL PARKING LOT at the Hall.  There of course was meeting today. 

There were a few family members that were unable to attend for health reasons.  Cousin Bonnie, we love you and hope that all goes well for you today.  You wrote Grandmother a very touching letter.  We missed and will keep you in our prayers!

I would like to thank all my cousins, family and friends, for coming today.  She is very happy and had a wonderful time seeing all of you. This was I believe the happiest I have seen her.  And she is usually pretty happy.   Thank you all!!!

#22 Make a photobook with all my Grandmother's cookie, cakes and lasagna recipes

I am getting started on #22. I got some tonight and scanned them but I think I am missing a few. I will share only one with you and it isn't going to be any of my favorite Christmas cookies recipes, or my favorite cake recipe or the best lasagna on the planet recipe! I will share one recipe and one only.  I don't like veggies, if you know me you already know that, but this is tasty even with a vegetable in it.

#8 Update on my shot list

I am halfway there, give or take! The Kamikaze I have had before so I did a shot called Blueberry Muffin, not to bad. The Blue Kamikaze tastes better than the regular.
The shots that were not too bad include:
Melon Ball, Oatmeal cookie, Orgasm, Nutty Irishman & Baby Guiness
My least favs so far include:
Red Headed Slut (I Didn't Name these), B52, Irish Flag, Shamrocked, Cappuccinotini(more like CRAPpuccinotini), Pineapple Upside-down Cake, Peach Tart (my bartentress doctored it to try to make it not suck-but it still did)& Chocolate cake.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST AWARD SO FAR goes to FOUR HORSEMEN... Gag me!

Pour .5oz Captain Morgan into pint glass, and fill halfway with Coke.
Pour Bailey’s, Vanilla vodka, and root beer schnapps in equal parts into shot glass and drop(or pour) the shot glass into the pint glass. Drink quickly, before the Bailey’s curdles! Tastes like a root beer float.

Phew got #15

BLUE JACKETS DONE!!!

If I did #7 and #10 it would have been more comfortable! Oh well, maybe next year.

I will say the Crossin Luck was in rare form.  I thought I was smart.

1.  Ordered a pizza for dinner, before I left work.  1.5 hours later, call....OH SORRY WE WILL SEND IT OUT FOR FREE....I said I have to leave in 30 mins. She was like can you come get it..NOOOOOOO

2..  I called for a taxi at 5:15pm and she said it was on the way....I said WAIT I don't need it till 6:15 and we need a VAN.  6:30ish a taxi arrives, its a CAR.  TIGHT SQUEEZE!

3.Nicole had tons of homework so she didn't get to the house until 6:15pm game at 7

4. Pat and I have walking issues, back and legs and was the reason for the taxi.  Arrive at the arena along with everyone else at the last possible minute, oh escalator to nose bleed section broken, we walked the total wrong direction to a elevator, and had to travel back to section 221

THE GAME WAS GOOD

5. The taxi driver said no need to call for a taxi, there will be plenty after the game.  We walked out IN THE FREEZING COLD... NO TAXIs.  Called again asked for a taxi, it would be over an hour and there is not vans just cars, DO YOU STILL WANT IT it only is allowed 4, my smart ass come back YEAH, one of is will walk.  I call another 1.5 hrs.  I decided maybe be able to catch one on Neil, as were are walking one goes thru the light.  But couldn't get it's attention.  Get to Neil, NOTHING.  I ask the officer, he said the taxis usually line up on the other side of the arena! SERIOUSLY! Seriously!
40+ mins later, 3 frozen teens, my toes and fingers frozen, poor Pat back and legs we killing her, mine too.  Finally a taxi A VAN across the street, I literally started jumping up and down and we all were waving frantically.  We couldn't tell if there was anyone in it. The light turned green and he about hit another car coming to pick us up. !!! SO WARM!!!
